Anyway... movie, was supposed to be something a'la "the outer limits" etc. but those always had some kind of moral, or a meaning... in this I got the first part, but the rest ... I just didn't understand what was the point of them. Maybe I'm too stupid to understand, or maybe I watched them in a background... Please explain them to me, cause' I'm dumbfounded.

Very generic, heavily borrowing from the classic sci-fi movies like "Star Wars","Dune" etc.... I'll give it only 5.5 stars, and I usually like Sci-fi movies.... @Nick ... FYI, I've watched "Making of..." (also found on this site). They said, those guns weren't shooting lasers, but blobs of lava, it wasn't explained in the movie, but they did show they splatter after hitting something. Also, the costumes, I too thought they were basing the design on Nazis, but supposedly, they said it was based on WW1 Russian uniforms. Last thing... supposedly, you have to watch "extended version-directors cut", as it is much better, I didn't care enough for the movie to watch it again.
